The mission of SAFETY FIRST is to provide quality workplace safety services. The name of the company SAFETY FIRST clearly articulates a vision that we are trying to convey to our clients. We want to ensure that the health and lives of your employees is a priority; that employees take care of each other; that the employer always thinks about their employees and tries to improve their work environment, as well as the atmosphere in the team.

Risk assessment

We assess risk factors in all areas of activity (as well as hazardous areas), including indicative measurements of lighting and microclimate. According to the legislation of the Republic of Latvia, in companies within hazardous areas, where there are more than 11 employees, only a competent workplace safety specialist is authorized to assess risks

Tutorials
and trainings

We create workplace safety instructions. We carry out trainings at the workplace. According to the legislation of the Republic of Latvia, employees of hazardous areas need to be trained once every half a year. We provide trainings for crane operators, slingers, hoist operators, as well as for working at heights and in closed vessels.

Fire safety

We create fire safety instructions. We provide tutorials and practical trainings in fire safety. New regulation of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia was issued in 2016, according to which a separate fire safety instruction should be created for each facility.

Accident investigation

We have experience investigating fatal and severe cases, as well as accidents that appeared abroad. We provide a service of full investigation and registration of accidents in State Labour Inspectorate. Unfortunately, 192 severe accidents (including 26 fatal ones) occurred at workplaces in Latvia over the past year.

Mandatory
health checks

As part of risk assessment, we create lists of mandatory health checks for employees. A medical committee headed by our professional doctor comes to your workplace, which allows you to significantly cut direct and indirect costs of your company.

Personal protective equipment

We create lists of personal protective equipment (PPE) necessary for a particular workplace (type of work), assess risks and verify them. We provide our customers with work clothes, safety shoes, helmets, vests, safety glasses and other personal protective equipment.

We collaborate with State Labour inspectorate

In matters of workplace safety we collaborate with the State Labour Inspectorate. In 2019 our company entered into an agreement with the Inspectorate as part of European Social Fund project ´´Improving the practical implementation and supervision of compliance with work safety regulations´´.

We have professional liability insurance

The activities of our competent institution are insured for 28,460 euros. If any incident occurs through our fault, resulting in material damage to the company, our insurance will cover it. Fortunately, we haven’t experienced any of such cases during the years of our practice.
